About Anne

I am an acupuncturist and midwife having spent over 35 years working with fertility, pregnancy and women’s health in the NHS and independent practice.

My experiences of commissioning, service improvement, clinical governance and serious incident management in the NHS enable me to help should you need advocacy support.

I have accompanied hundreds of clients on so many different journeys, and I know that one size doesn’t fit all.

Relational care is my passion and has been shown to provide better outcomes for pregnancy and birth.  My approach is truly client centred and I choose to work in a way that facilitates that relationship, enabling clients to make the choices that are right for them.

I can work with you wherever you are on your journey of life from a single video call or appointment to a more substantial package.

Most of my clients are referred by others and you can read some of their kind words here.

I would love to chat with you to discuss how we might be able to work together. You can book a free video call here

What I can offer

◦ Pre conception consultations where we consider how you can optimise your well-being for pregnancy.

◦ Fertility detective consultation, if you have been unsuccessfully trying to conceive for a while.

◦ Fertility acupuncture to regulate your menstrual cycle, balance your hormones and reduce stress.

◦ Acupuncture support before and during a cycle of IVF ( ideally to start 3 months before a cycle of IVF)

◦ Acupuncture to support in early pregnancy.

◦ Acupuncture and / or coaching to support following pregnancy loss at any stage.

◦ Private midwifery services with relaxed appointments that allow you time to ask all your questions, feel supported and work out a plan that is just right for you.

Professional Support

I offer support to both acupuncturists and midwives in the form of supervision, mentoring and coaching.   My approach is empathetic and affirming with the intention of enabling an individual to flourish in their personal and professional life.

Supervision involves a collaborative and supportive professional relationship aimed at enhancing your clinical skills, ensuring quality care, and providing a space for reflection and growth in your acupuncture and midwifery practice.

Mentoring is an individualised process where I share my extensive experience and insights of pregnancy and birth with midwives and acupuncturists. Our time spent together in person or online is designed to address professional and personal development goals and to support, empower and inspire in clinical practice.

Coaching is a development approach that focuses on an individual's specific needs, challenges and aspirations in the workplace.  It is usually non-directive and takes the form of a conversation or ‘thinking partnership’ that can unlock potential, build confidence and achieve success.

I also work as an associate acupuncturist at Caitlin Allen's Clinic in Leeds every week.
