Gynaecological Problems

Acupuncture has a long history of helping with gynaecological problems, and I have experience of the following

  • Menstrual cycle regulation
  • Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
  • Endometriosis
  • Premenstrual syndrome (PMS)

The Mental Load

The invisible and often unpaid cognitive and emotional labour involved in managing our daily lives.

It is often only when we begin to forget things, drop balls and experience overwhelm that we appreciate the amount of stress we are living with.

The stress of the mental load impacts every area of our health and wellbeing. The good news is that acupuncture is brilliant at reducing stress, which in turn allows our body to re calibrate.

What My Clients Say

There’s no better evidence than other people’s experience.

Menopause and Perimenopause

The menopause transition can be a challenging time with a multitude of symptoms that fluctuate and overlap.

Information regarding the menopause can be difficult to navigate, and a single approach does not fit all.

I am happy to discuss the use of HRT and have undertaken continuing professional development with the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health.

There is evidence to support the use of acupuncture for many menopausal symptoms e.g.

  • Hot flashes and night sweats
  • Mood swings and emotional dysregulation
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Hormonal balance

If you would  like a conversation about how I may be able to support you manage menopausal symptoms you can book a call here.

Acupuncture And General Health

When considering women’s health as a whole, it is important to understand the impact of stress and general well-being as part of the equation.

Acupuncture treatments improve your whole being as well as your symptoms. As the condition being treated improves, you may notice other health problems resolving too, and an increased feeling of well-being everywhere.

Acupuncture treatments encourage your body to produce natural substances such as pain-relieving endorphins. It’s likely that these naturally released substances are responsible for the beneficial effects experienced with acupuncture.
